Carlos Tevez has not backed down from his want to leave Manchester City according to a source close to him.
The Argentina striker wants to depart Eastlands in January but it is expected that manager Roberto Mancini will talk him around although a close friend told SunSport that the exit is very much on the cards.
City take on Everton tonight and even though the former Manchester United star wants out, he will bring his best to the pitch said the source.
"Carlos isn't the sort of player who will go missing in a game because he thinks it will persuade the club to let him go," he said.
"He wouldn't try a trick like that. He will be giving it everything as usual. Don't be surprised if he gets a hat-trick.
"No one can question Carlos' performances for City. They have always been of a high standard.
"But nothing has changed regarding his transfer request. He wants to leave."
