Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is upbeat over an injury setback for Emanuele Giaccherini.

The winger broke down during the draw with Burnley.

Poyet reported some tentative good news post-match having spoken to the player after the full-time whistle.

"I think it is less than what we thought, it looked bad because he cleared the ball and had a tackle on his ankle, but he was telling me in the dressing room that he doesn't think it is that bad."
