Stoke City boss Mark Hughes doesn't rate scouting internationals.
Hughes doesn't usually see much point in watching internationals - or repeatedly watching the same transfer target.
"Invariably, international players are the ones you know about anyway," he reasoned.
"The hidden gems are the more difficult ones to find these days.
"So I don't take that opportunity unless there's a player people don't think there's enough information about.
"Some feel they need to see players five or six times, but I usually know within 45 minutes if I want them.
"You don't need five or six views of the same person because then you start seeing the negatives rather than the positives in my view."
