Nathaniel Clyne insists he would rather be preparing for international fixtures than relaxing at the beach.
The Southampton right-back is currently with the England squad ahead of the weekend's friendly with the Republic of Ireland and next weekend's Euro2016 qualifier in Slovenia and he says he wouldn't have it any other way.
"The beach can wait for now," Clyne told TheFA.com. "This is a good opportunity for me to go away and get more international experience.
"It's always an honour to be called up to play for your country so I am happy and looking forward to the two games coming up.
"I relish the opportunity of these games and look forward to it. With the whole nation on your side willing you and wanting you to do well it is extra pressure. I know I can deal with it as well."
The 24-year old, who has four caps for England, is being linked with a potential summer move to Manchester United.
