Southampton are hoping their next contract renewal is with striker Shane Long.

The club have secured boss Ralph Hasenhuttl to a deal until 2024.

Now Long may be in line to sign a contract extension as well.

His contract is up at the end of the month.

But the club are finalising a deal that could be signed in the coming days, per the Daily Mail.

Long has played 167 games for the Saints in total, scoring 27 goals.
