Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has praised Newcastle counterpart Eddie Howe.

Saints host Newcastle on Sunday.

Hasenhuttl said, "At Newcastle he's [Howe] shown immediately he knows what he's doing and it's not a surprise that he's being successful with that team.

"It's impressive to see what they're doing, they have the players to do it and not all their players are available.

"They have an intense game, high speed running and that can be a nasty way of putting opponents under pressure.

"When we're doing well we can cause them issues. No we might not get many chances but we've shown in the past we can break teams rhythms.

"With our fans in the back, we should be able to cause them some issues."
