Newcastle United signing Siem de Jong is delighted to get off the mark.
The Dutchman scored in this week's friendly defeat to Oldham Athletic.
De Jong, who made a £6million switch from Ajax last month, said: "I played against City a couple of years ago in the Champions League and scored three times in two games, so that's not bad.
"I scored one goal at home when we won 3-1 and two away in a 2-2 draw. It's nice to have done that, but it's going to be very different on the first day of the season and we are all aware of that.
"It's a nice, easy start in the league for us isn't it! Hopefully, City will still be on holiday. It's a great game to start our season with and we are all already looking forward to it."
