Liverpool forward Diogo Jota should not have been sent off at the weekend against Tottenham.
That is the view of a Premier League Independent Key Match Incidents Panel that assessed the incident.
Jota received a second yellow card for a rash challenge from behind, which caused him to leave the field.
However, ESPN states that the panel watched various angles of the incident and concluded it was not worthy of another yellow card.
The panel stated that "the majority deemed the decision as incorrect as they felt it did not meet the threshold for a yellow card."
The panel has three former players and/or coaches, along with Premier League and PGMOL representatives.
