Arturo Vidal blew up at Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde on the eve of last night's El Clasico, it has been claimed.

The Chile international did see action in the 0-0 draw with Real Madrid - but only from off the bench.

ESPN says Vidal reacted furiously when informed by coach Ernesto Valverde the previous day that he would not be starting the game.

Vidal stormed out of training and had to be calmed down by some teammates as his temper boiled over.

The midfielder entered ten minutes into the second-half last night for Nelson Semedo.
