West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis explained handing Darren Fletcher the captaincy for their 2-2 draw at Burnley.

The former Manchester United midfielder had only arrived last week.

Pulis said: "I spoke to Brunty (Chris Brunt) yesterday. I think he's happy to give Darren the captaincy and concentrate on his football.

"That was always on my mind. We need a leader in the dressing room and we have that in Darren as he showed, especially in the second half."
