Prodl pleased as Watford grab deserved Chelsea draw

Sebastian Prodl felt Watford earned their 0-0 draw with Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The Hornets produced the better of the chances in the first half at Vicarage Road before Heurelho Gomes came to the rescue with some fine saves in the second half in what was a deserved scoreless stalemate according to Prodl.

"I think it was a fair result," the Austrian international told Hornets Player HD.

"In the end we were a little bit lucky because Chelsea had some good chances, but we have a great goalkeeper and Gomes saved some good chances, so I think it was a well deserved result.

"We are happy about the point and about the performance. The whole team worked very hard for that result, maybe we were too afraid to attack sometimes but in the end we are happy."

Watford moved into ninth place on the Premier League table on the back of the draw as they get set to take on third-placed Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
