Newcastle youngster Lucas De Bolle: Eddie Howe has been great

Newcastle United midfielder Lucas De Bolle is full of praise for manager Eddie Howe.

The youngster has joined Scottish second-tier outfit Hamilton Academical on loan for the entire season.

The 20-year-old has been dealing with a concussion issue all season, which he sustained in a Magpies Under-21s game in August.

“Since Eddie Howe has come in he has been great. I've got some experience of training alongside the first-team with him, and I've got nothing but praise for him," De Bolle told the Daily Record.

“He's done a great job, and I'm hoping one day I'll be involved in that as well. Eddie has been good. I've had a couple of conversations with him, trained with him a couple of times last season, and at the end I was on the bench a couple of times.

“He helps young players out very well, gives them a chance, and he always has a couple of young players training with him. That experience, training with the first-team at a club like that, you learn a lot, playing alongside some of the players they have.

“You're training alongside Bruno, Jonjo Shelvey, some great players, international players, and Kieran Trippier has great experience you can learn from. When you have the chance, it's about getting as much information from them as you can."
