Newcastle United shot stopper Nick Pope has been ruled out of the England squad and his club's last game of the season.
The Magpies have secured a top four position in the Premier League after a 0-0 draw with Leicester City.
However, Pope will not be playing when they take on Chelsea on the final day of the season to try and secure third place, as he is undergoing surgery on a hand injury.
Pope had put off the procedure until he was no longer needed by his club side this term.
He made a crucial save late in their game against Leicester to guarantee them a top four finish.
Newcastle will be playing in the Champions League next season, with Pope set to continue as no.1 keeper.
