Newcastle face stiff competition for Burnley keeper Pope

Newcastle United are interested in Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope - but they are not alone.

The Magpies are being linked with the England international following Burnley's relegation to the Championship.

Pope is keen on a move to St. James' Park, but there are other clubs trying to get his attention.

The Chronicle reports that West Ham United, Southampton and Nottingham Forest are also keen on 30-year-old.

A former non-league goalkeeper, Pope has made 155 appearances in six seasons with Burnley.
