Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is coy about their interest in FC Groningen winger Ritsu Doan.

The Japanese youngster has been linked with a January move to the Toon.

Asked directly about Doan, Benitez refused to rule anything out.

"Normally we do not talk about players with the media," he said.

"But in this case I tell you that we are not even able to talk about it. We must first have a meeting (with the club management). Then we see what our targets will be. People ask me about Doan, but we do not yet know who we want to get."
