Manchester United signing Tom Heaton's number has been uncovered.

New United goalkeeper Heaton took part in his first training session with the Red Devils at their Carrington training complex yesterday.

Joining the likes of Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams, the 35-year-old was seemingly sporting his new kit number, 22, reports the Mirror.

The number previously belonged to Sergio Romero, who left upon the expiration of his contract last week.

Heaton has returned to Old Trafford after 11 years with the likes of Burnley and Aston Villa, and re-signed on a free transfer on Friday by penning a two-year contract.
