Man City turn attention to Atletico Madrid centre-half Lucas Hernandez

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has Atletico Madrid's Lucas Hernandez high on his agenda of summer transfer targets.

The Sun is reporting that the 20-year-old French centre-back has emerged on the radar of City who are believed to be keen to trigger his £20million release clause.

It is understood that Atletico would be powerless to stop Hernandez from leaving for the aforementioned price if City were to make a bid.

Diego Simeone reportedly wants Hernandez to stay put at the Vicente Calderon but the lure of working with Guardiola in England may turn the head of the highly-rated youngster.

Marseille-born Hernandez debuted for Simeone as an 18-year-old and has since emerged as one of the brightest defensive talents in European football.
