Man City owners CFG respond to NAC Breda supporter protests

Manchester City owners City Football Group (CFG) have responded to protests from NAC Breda fans as they finalise buying the Dutch club.

CFG have released a statement to seek to assure concerned NAC supporters.

CFG stated: “Over the past few days, there has been a lot of discussion about City Football Group's interest in NAC Breda. We would like to share our main points through the club council.

"City Football Group was born from the ambition to allow football clubs to reach their full potential. A combination of local people at the helm of the club with support and knowledge from Manchester and other clubs.

"The structure of our group gives us the unique opportunity to develop and share expertise in areas such as football technical insights, talent development and commercial matters.

"We are going to invest in the youth academy so that we can attract and train the best talent.

"In addition, we want to invest directly in the first team and support staff to give NAC a serious chance to fight directly for promotion to the Eredivisie."
