Malmo FF defender Pontus Jansson was pleased with the way he left Brentford.

Jansson missed the end of last Premier League season due to injury. But Brentford fans gave their captain a real send-off.

:It (the farewell) was quite difficult if I'm honest," he told Fotbollskanlen.

"It was nice, of course, to get the ending that I got. I spoke with Anders Andersson before the match last time, about the fact that not many people get that finish. I don't think there are many Swedes in general who get such a nice finish as I got anyway, which made it obviously nice to hear those things.

"I got injured with a few matches left and it was obviously a shame not to finish on top and get a nice finish - but it almost all turned out well. I could come home recovered - mentally and physically - but also have a nice ending.
