Liverpool are making an aggressive to sign Sao Paulo centre half Lucas Beraldo.

The 20 year-old is a top target for the Reds ahead of the January market, with a £20m deal discussed, says The Sun.

A Liverpool delegation were in Brazil last week for talks with Sao Paulo for Beraldo.

Reds reps took in a Sao Paulo game to check on the defender before entering talks about a deal for the stopper.

Left sided Beraldo has been with Sao Paulo since he was a kid and has emerged as a first team regular recently.
