Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia retains hope of moving to Real Madrid.

The Argentine revealed he came close to joining Real over the summer.

"I could have joined Real Madrid in August but the closure of the transfer window was so close that the deal just didn't materialise," Biglia said.

"At the moment I feel very happy at Lazio but I want to continue to grow and in the future I hope I can have another chance like that."
