LA Galaxy's Beckham ahead of NYRB's Henry in annual MLS earnings

LA Galaxy star David Beckham leads Major League Soccer in annual salaries with yearly earnings of $6.5million. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder is in the final season of his MLS contract but still leads the competition for annual wages, beating New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry who nets $5.6million per annum.

Henry's current Red Bulls colleague and ex-Barcelona teammate, Rafael Marquez, comes in third with $4.6m whilst Galaxy pair Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan round out the top five earners in North America's domestic league with $3.4m and $2.3m respectively.
