Jan Oblak has penned a new deal with Atletico Madrid to 2023.

The Slovenian said he was delighted to continue wearing the Red & White shirt.

"I'm very happy to have signed a contract extension and to be here. I'm going to defend these colours to the best of my abilities and continue working hard," Oblak told Atletico's official website.

Oblak had a £87million release clause in his previous contract and that is set to rise with this new deal according to Mundo Deportivo.

Negotiations had lasted for over a year but the two parties have now come to an agreement.
