Marco Giampaolo is full of praise for AC Milan's new management team.

The former Sampdoria coach was signed by Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban.

Giampalo said, “I was struck by their seriousness, competence and passion. Maldini and Boban really transmit what it means to be at Milan as a Coach or a player. They are top level figures and their passion is contagious.

“At the start of my career, I'd lose to Milan often, but more recently achieved a few victories, probably because I was in charge of more competitive teams.

“Playing at San Siro is always an exciting moment, as there's no coincidence it's called La Scala del Calcio. I consider it the most fascinating stadium in Italy."
