Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has admitted the club is looking at Everton's Lucas Digne.

The left back is being linked with a move to the Villa Park club, who have secured Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona.

Speaking after their 1-0 FA Cup third round loss to Manchester United, Gerrard admitted the club is working hard on securing more players when asked about Digne.

He told reporters after the game: "We are working hard on targets.

"It is not respectful to mention any names but there is no smoke without fire and we want to try and improve certain areas of our team and our squad."
