Fulham defender Brede Hangeland is out of contract at the end of the season but talks are still continuing over a new deal. His agent stated in August that they were not near to a deal and boss Martin Jol admits that nothing appears on the brink of conclusion with the 31 year old.
"That will take a bit longer because we don't talk to him every day but there will be another appointment as we try to keep him here for the long term," he told the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle.
"If that is not possible then we will try to keep him for the next two years."
