Fluminense president Bittencourt says Liverpool target Andre will play in CWC

Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt admitted midfielder Andre Trindade is likely to leave the club.

The Brazilian is a huge target for the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal in the coming months.

Despite signing Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch, Liverpool want another midfielder.

“We are waiting. Today, there is no concrete proposal for Andre," Bittencourt told Globo after his team won the Copa Libertadores.

“But we are sure that after the Club World Cup - he will play in the World Cup - a stratospheric proposal will arrive.

“It could be the biggest sale in the club's history. We could possibly lose both (Andre and defender Nino), but we are working to replace them."
