Arsenal sporting director Edu's trip to Brazil during the international break has been explained.
Many fans were curious about the reason for Edu going all the way to his homeland during the middle of the season.
While he may have been going to visit friends and family, Edu appeared to have official business as well.
Per football.london, Arsenal are hoping to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade.
However, the official line is that Edu was there as part of an agreement with Fluminense.
"We had contact with Arsenal last year when they welcomed us on our Under-16 trip to England," said Fluminense's CT Vale das Laranjeiras executive director, Antônio Garcia.
“Today, they came to get to know our CT and our work more closely. They were very impressed and praised our processes."
