Ex-Scotland forward Kenny Miller joins Newcastle Jets

Former Scotland striker Kenny Miller has signed for Newcastle Jets in Australia.

The Hyundai A-League club has confirmed that Miller is now a Jets staff member.

Miller will fill the role of senior technical director, aiding manager Carl Robinson.

The duo will be hoping to bring success to Newcastle Jets in the coming years.

Miller played for both Rangers and Celtic during an illustrious career in his home country.

Miller also scored 18 goals for Scotland in 69 caps.

He told the club's official website after signing: "Carl and I have been close for 20 years. I've worked with him when he was a player and when he was a manager.

"When the opportunity came up for me to join him here in Newcastle and continue my development as a coach, I was keen to take it with both hands.

"Carl sees success in the near future here in Newcastle, and I want to do all I can to help make that happen."
