Ex-Man Utd midfielder Fellaini speaks after coronavirus diagnosis

Marouane Fellaini has taken to social media after testing positive in China of coronavirus.

The former Everton and Manchester United midfielder is playing for Shandong Luneng in the Chinese Super League and in a post on their website confirmed he tested positive for Covid-19.

Fellaini then posted a message on Twitter to update supporters on his condition.

"Dear friends, I have been tested for coronavirus and my test result is positive," he said.

"Thanks to the fans, medical staff and the club for their care and attention. I will follow the treatment and hope to return to the game as soon as possible. Please everyone stay safe."

The Belgium international moved to Asia in February of last year in a £10.5m transfer from Manchester United after spending five-and-a-half-years at Old Trafford.
