Ex-Chelsea striker Hasselbaink on brink of landing Burton Albion job

Former Chelsea and Leeds United star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is set to win the race for the Burton Albion job.

The Daily Mail says he has held talks with the club and could be named as successor to Gary Rowett this week.

The job would represent Hasselbaink's first as a manager in English football following 18 months as a coach at Nottingham Forest.

The 42-year-old spent last season in charge of Royal Antwerp in the Belgian second division but left in May after guiding the team to seventh.
