Ex-Cardiff boss Mackay spotted at Fulham

Former Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay is in the frame for the Fulham job.

The Mail on Sunday says Mackay was in the director's box at Craven Cottage as speculation over who would replace Felix Magath as Fulham manager grew.

The German was sacked on Thursday after a miserable start to the season in which Fulham have picked up just one point in the league and their only win came in the Capital One Cup against Brentford.

Kit Symons was given the job on a temporary basis and owner Shahid Khan has promised to undertake 'an exhaustive, thorough and deliberate' search for a new manager.

It is believed Mackay and Symons are friends and that the Scot has not held talks with Fulham as yet.
