PSV Eindhoven have hopes of keeping hold of Jarrad Branthwaite.

The defender has shone this season on-loan at PSV from Everton.

Former Blues technical director Marcel Brands, now in charge of PSV, was key in bringing Branthwaite to the Eredivisie and there's hope of extending his stay beyond this season.

Brands initially signed the defender for Everton from Carlisle United.

He recalled, “That was a big step and from there I built a good relationship with him. After I came to PSV, that bond has only grown. As a young player, it gives you a lot of confidence that someone like that believes in you."
