Roberto Martinez has allayed fears that Romelu Lukaku has suffered a serious injury.
The Belgian striker was taken off with appeared to be a hamstring injury in Tuesday night's 2-0 friendly with over Scottish side Dundee at Dens Park.
After the match, however, Martinez insisted that Lukaku did not feel 100% during the match an opted to come off following a heavy load in recent pre-season matches.
"Rom has obviously been playing a lot of minutes and it was important for him to get some sort of action," the Toffees boss told evertontv.
"After the first 25 minutes, he was feeling his legs were a little bit too heavy and we didn't want to take any risks.
"It's not a problem at all. I think he got a lot of good work between the two games we've had up here, plus the games we had in Singapore.
"Now we have got a little period before the weekend to make sure he is ready and refreshed."
Ross Barkley and Conor McAleny scored the goals as Everton made it two wins from two in Scotland after the weekend's triumph over Hearts in which Lukaku scored a hat-trick.
