Empoli defender Daniele Rugani is pinching himself over his Italy call.
Rugani has been rewarded for his consistency this season.
"I'm really struggling to believe I'm actually here," Rugani smiled.
"Personally I was imagining a different season. I am honoured to be here, I'm living for the moment and for me this is a unique opportunity to grow.
"To be here with so many great players can only help me [to develop]. I hope to be the future of this national team, but now I don't have to think about it.
"Conte treats me like all the other players, and that makes me feel part of the group. He is a great Coach and I think that the three-man defence is a good innovation - it is more offensive and I can adapt to it without too many problems."
