Egypt out as Aston Villa step up plans for Kasimpasa attacker Trezeguet

Aston Villa are ready to step up plans for Kasimpasa attacker Mahmoud Trezeguet.

With Egypt out of the African Cup of Nations, Villa are set to push to close Trezeguet's signing.

Villa could seal an £8 million deal this week to bring the Egyptian to England.

Trezeguet operates as a winger at the Turkish club, netting nine goals in 29 league games last term.

Villa plan to use him in more central areas, but appreciate the versatility he would bring to the squad.
