Former Italy midfielder Antonio Di Gennaro says the criticism of Roma coach Jose Mourinho is over the top.
Mourinho has again caused upset inside Italian football with his rows against referees.
There is now talk of Mourinho leaving Roma for PSG this summer and Di Gennaro told TMW: "He is something unique.
"There is so much envy towards him, his work is great. It would be a blow for PSG. If he goes he wins the Champions League there, because he is too intelligent compared to the average.
"For Roma, it would be a very important miss, there is a season to finish. The Champions League is tough now, if the EL is won, it would be a great thing."
