Departing Brentford captain Jansson sends message to Malmo fans

Departing Brentford captain Pontus Jansson has sent a message to new club Malmo FF.

It's been announced this week that Jansson, 32, will return to MFF this summer as his deal with the Bees this summer.

He said, "Over 3,200 days have passed since my last match for Malmö FF. 3,200 days of waiting to one day experience what I will now be able to do again. I moved out to Europe as a young boy with big dreams but who had never seen the world.

"Nine years later, I come home with a wife, two children and lots of experience I want to manage in Malmö FF.

"During my years abroad, I always thought that this day would come, when I would once again be ready for Malmö FF. Now that it's here, there's no one happier than me. I want to thank you for all the support and love I have received over the years and the only thing I can do is now pay back the plan.

"I won't come home for anything other than taking the MFF to new victories, I can guarantee that. So with full motivation and longing, I hope to see you at the Stadium in a few months. Until then, support as you always have!"
