Crystal Palace midfielder Will Hughes says their draw with Manchester United was deserved.

United had the lead through Bruno Fernandes until an injury time equaliser struck by Palace midfielder Michael Olise.

Hughes said, "I think it was a moment of magic [Michael Olise's free-kick], we have been going though a difficult period. We have got Michael Olise, Wilfried Zaha and Ebs [Eberechi Eze] in the squad and we needed them.

"We won our duels against them and did what we had to do. Man United are bang on form and the manager has changed their fortunes around so to get a point against them was really good.

"It's about consistency. We have gone into games thinking we have the right to win but we did the basics tonight and it worked out for us so hopefully we can keep doing that."
