Christian Fuchs is excited to have joined Leicester City.

The 29-year-old Austrian defender had a host of clubs interested in him after ending his four-year spell with Bundesliga side Schalke 04.

"I think the philosophy of the coach fits me well," said Fuchs, who has signed a three-year contract with City.

"He gave me a nice phone call. He told me about the philosophy that Leicester are playing.

"He's simply a very nice chap. He's a cool guy. He said to me that he's very personal - he knows how to handle the players on a personal level, and he also convinced me about Leicester."
