Chelsea are reportedly close to signing former AC Milan shot-stopper Marco Amelia.
The Daily Mail is reporting the 33-year-old has agreed terms with the Blues following a successful trial with the reigning Premier League Champions.
It is understood the deal will be finalised on Thursday, with Amelia joining Chelsea as an emergency back-up to Asmir Begovic.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho had been searching for an experienced goalkeeper to provide support for Begovic after first-choice shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois was ruled out until December with a knee injury.
Amelia was snapped having dinner with his agent Federico Pastorello in London on Wednesday to celebrate the new deal.
