Burnley are inviting offers for Ben Gibson.

The Mirror says the 26-year-old arrived at Turf Moor in a £15m deal from his home-town club Middlesbrough just 12 months ago – but played just one league game in an injury-plagued campaign.

The Clarets would consider a loan move for the stopper who was on England's radar before he was sidelined by a string of issues.

He was linked with Besiktas – but the Turkish club has played down that – but the newly-promoted trio of Premier League clubs all need to strengthen at the heart of their defence.

Middlesbrough would take him back – and Sheffield Wednesday are also keen – but the player is not looking to drop back down into the Championship.
