Brentford defender Jansson relieved with victory over Watford

Brentford defender Pontus Jansson admits they weren't at their best for victory over Watford.

Two goals in the last ten minutes earned the win for the Bees.

Jansson said, "It's not a good performance but we fought hard, we didn't give away a lot of chances so maybe a draw was a fair result, but we've been unlucky in the season and maybe luck was with us tonight."

On scoring his first goal for Brentford, three years after arriving from Leeds, he added: "Finally a goal, eh? It was an important goal. It's been three years and I've saved it for an important moment. It's tough with VAR to celebrate.

"We turned it around by believing, we were disappointed with the first half and second half we were on it from minute one.

"We said from the start we wanted to aim as high as possible and if you're saying now we're top half then that's a good start."
