Ben Gibson admits he wants to leave Burnley.
Gibson has not played a senior game for a year and was banished to train with former club Middlesbrough following a massive bust-up with Sean Dyche's No 2 Ian Woan in February.
The centre-half, who was Burnley's joint-record signing at £15million when he joined from Boro two years ago, knows he needs to find a new club.
Boro want to bring him back to Teesside on loan next season and Norwich have shown interest, while he has been suggested as a makeweight in a deal for Nottingham Forest's Joe Worrall.
Gibson, 27, who was two years left on his £40,000-a-week contract at Turf Moor, says he just wants to play regularly again.
“It's probably no secret that I want to get out and play football and I've been itching to do so since I signed for Burnley," he said.
“I'll have to see what the next few weeks bring. Obviously I want to play football, that's as clear as day. But for now, I just sit tight and see what happens."
