Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara has welcomed their swoop for Lucas Hernandez.

The Atletico Madrid defender will join Bayern this summer after the Germans agreed to meet his €85m buyout clause last month.

Thiago told Goal: "He is a very courageous, motivated and reliable player, who keeps the same intensity from the 1st to the 90th minute.

"He is very important for Atlético Madrid thanks to his versatility, his aggressiveness and his will - so he will be very important for us.

"His style of play will stimulate some of our players."
