Barca Atletic coach Rafa Marquez has sung the praises of Andreas Christensen.

The former Barca and Mexico defender reviewed the first team's defensive season performance yesterday.

"They are doing an extraordinary job, starting with the goal. (Marc-Andre) Ter Stegen is having a great season, it is true that he had some ups and downs but now he has taken on a great responsibility, also as captain," said Marquez.

"At the defensive back, we are seeing more of (Ronald) Araujo and Christensen in the central axis. Perhaps the defender who has surprised me the most is Christensen, who is having a great performance and has adapted quickly. There is no doubt about how important Araujo is and the player he is becoming."

And finally, he added: "On the right, (Jules) Koundé is doing very well, defensively he is very safe and the offense surprises us at times. And on the left, whether (Jordi) Alba or (Alejandro) Balde plays, both have quality. They have a very complete defence."
