Dick Advocaat is on a bumper survival bonus to keep Sunderland up.
The 67-year-old Dutchman has been announced by the relegation-threatened club today following the sacking of Gus Poyet yesterday.
He can expect to earn around £25,000 a week for the remaining nine games of the season.
But he will also bank a cool £500,000 bonus if he keeps the Black Cats up, says the Daily Star.
Poyet was sacked on the phone by owner Ellis Short in the wake of Saturday's 4-0 home drubbing against Aston Villa after 18 months in charge.
Advocaat has been out of work since quitting the Serbian national job in November.
