Tottenham have reopened talks to sign Manchester City winger Savinho ahead of the transfer window.

The Brazilian winger was the subject of interest from Spurs last summer when Thomas Frank was in charge, but Pep Guardiola wanted to keep him as a backup option.

Savinho then started just seven times in the Premier League and could now leave the Etihad Stadium, with Fabrizio Romano stating that he's "open to a move".

Tottenham will have competition for his signature should they choose to launch a bid, as Newcastle are said to be "monitoring" the 22-year-old's situation.

Spurs are already in advanced talks to sign Andy Robertson from Liverpool once his contract expires, and Marcos Senesi has already agreed to personal terms over a switch

A squad overhaul is starting early for the Lilywhites, as Roberto De Zerbi aims to get Tottenham fighting for Europe once more after two dismal campaigns.
