According to Ben Jacobs, the Portuguese giants are closing in on a move for Silva after a ‘positive’ meeting between the manager and president Rui Costa.
Silva, 48, is set to leave Premier League side Fulham once his contract expires next month, ending his five-year spell at the club.
Fulham ended 2025-26 in 11th, level on points with West London rivals Chelsea (52) and just one off the European spots.
