Arsenal supremo Mikel Arteta hopes there is so much more to come from Martin Odegaard.
The Norway attacking midfielder has become a lynchpin as club captain for the Gunners.
While Arteta only had praise for Odegaard, he hopes to see him evolve even more.
He stated: “Hopefully not [reached potential]. Hopefully there is still a lot more to come. He is still very young but he has made huge strides over the last few seasons. He has a massive role at the club and hopefully he can keep going.
“Especially as he had to wear that [Real Madrid] kit since he was 14 or 15 and that's not easy. But I think he has handled that in a great way, the steps he made as well to progress and develop his career, especially when he went to Real Sociedad, it was a really intelligent move, and then I think he took off and now we have the player that he had.
On his importance to Arsenal, he added: “He is our captain and one of our main players. When you look at the impact he has with us daily it is unbelievable. We are really happy to have him."
